Learning Is Within Reach
Our centres provide the best learning experiences with measurable results for students with dyslexia or other literacy difficulties.
Since 2004, Reach has been helping kids reach their literacy goals through our science-based approach to teaching Structured Literacy.
Reach Learning Centre was the first fully accredited OG intervention and training centre in Canada. Reach continues to be the leading and most recognized resource for both student services and certified coursework in the Orton-Gillingham approach in Canada.
We’re proud to provide a teaching and learning environment based on the science of reading and current research on best practices. This allows us to create customized curriculum for every student, including those who require support in reading, writing, and math, as well as those with dyslexia.
We are not following a program; Reach creates a tailored curriculum designed for each unique learner.
Our layers of intervention ensure 1:1 specialized Orton-Gillingham lessons delivered by highly trained practitioners and case managers who are also expert OG interventionists, supervisors and trainers.
We teach students 1:1, which means that one Reach OG Practitioner specifically designs and teaches literacy skills using the evidence-based OG/MSL instructional approach to one student for approximately one hour.
Each lesson:
- Builds on the struggles and successes in previous lessons, ensuring our students grow and learn to the best of their ability, considering every detail.
- Provides a multisensory experience that is sequential, cumulative, systematic, and designed specifically for each student before each lesson.
